A trusted guide who has the experience and knowledge of sucessfully completing the life journey that is at hand. It involves training and teaching within the journey and is a relational transfer of knowledge and wisdom. A great mentor will be engaged in the journey with the person who is being mentored. Like a Sherpa guide on Mt. Everest, he will know the path intimately, understand the uniqueness of each person and how to reach the summit safely.
